There are often times in life when we don't know how to be and how to act, because every step and every action has consequences. For the most part, they create another problem for which we often spend a lot of effort and time. As a result, we stand still, and the clods of life's difficulties and failures accumulate, and one not so beautiful day they fall on our heads, and who knows how it will all end.
The Gallagher family lives in the solution of problems created by themselves. The un-traveling mother and father gave birth to six children, against their fate, choosing alcohol, drugs and a promiscuous life as the meaning of their existence. Naturally, the children have each grown up with their own quirks and make the very mistakes they should have been satiated with as children, learning what their lives might be like from the example of their parents. But no, as it turns out - the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. And that's the whole point of the whole series.
Heard a lot about it, but could not sit down and watch it. Still, I made it) The first 3-4 seasons really impressed me. It was interesting to watch episode after episode. Yes, of course, it's a fictional life and it has a lot of stupid, not realistic moments, and they were more and more with each season. Towards the end I watched it just to see what the ending of the story would be.
One of the best characters for me was and is Fiona Gallagher. The little girl has taken on a great burden in raising her siblings. It was only because of her that this family was always afloat. I respect her for trying to change her life and the lives of her loved ones. But getting out of such a swamp is always difficult, especially when you are being pulled down by your own loved ones in every way. The departure of this character from the show has greatly impaired its narrative and the last 2 seasons have been boring and mediocre.
One could go on at length about each character and the situation he got himself into. Frank's antics in general are worthy of an entire book, with many chapters. Was amazed at how people live in such neighborhoods and could not believe it. But after spending a whole evening and looking through a bunch of sources I realized that life in the ghetto is just like that.
After watching the series "Shameless" I realized one important thing - don't mind your own business and don't make life difficult for yourself and others, just because you think you know how to do it better.
